Blue is often associated with trust and depth, reflecting commitment and connection to culture and tradition. Gold yellow can represent opulence and significance, evoking the artistic and cultural richness of the Duomo. Lastly, beige, with its neutral tone, can provide visual balance and underscore sobriety. The combination of these colors aims to create a harmonious visual experience, reflecting the values and heritage of the Duomo di Milano.
Typography
The use of the Italiana font for titles and the Lato font for paragraphs on the Duomo's website was guided by specific design and readability considerations. The Italiana font, with its distinct characteristics tied to Italian heritage, might have been chosen for titles to impart a touch of authenticity and sophistication, reflecting the cultural legacy of the Duomo di Milano. On the other hand, the Lato font is known for its clarity and readability on digital screens, making it suitable for paragraphs to ensure easy comprehension of content. The combination of these two typefaces may have been chosen to create a harmonious visual balance, ensuring an engaging and accessible presentation of information on the website.
